The birthplace of America's 35th president, the John F. Kennedy National Historic Site preserves his childhood home as it was in 1917. Visitors can attend guided tours of the house and grounds, on which they'll see period furnishings, photographs, and other memorabilia, including the bed on which Kennedy was born, and the bassinet in which he was rocked during his first nights in the nursery. The site resides in the heart of Brookline, near Armory Playground.
Open Late May until Late Sept 30: Wed. - Sun. 10 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Visitors center and bookstore are Free. House Museum: Adults $3; Individuals 17 years of age and under are Free
